How to keep some tables for walk ins
Pubs and cafes often want a few tables that online bookings can never take. Set them to staff only and they stay free for people who walk in.
What staff only means
Online bookings are only put on tables that belong to a group. A table set to None, staff only is skipped, so guests can never book it online. You can still use it on the floor plan for walk ins and phone bookings.
Good tables to hold back
Garden tables on a sunny day, bar stools, a couple of window tables, or the table by the door. Repeat for each table you want to keep.
The floor plan
The floor plan is on the Standard plan and above. See the floor plan guide and seating a walk in.
Passo dopo passo
- Open the floor plan settings. Settings, then Floor plan.
- Click a table. Its details open below the plan.
- Choose staff only. Set Group to None, staff only.
- Save. Press Save layout, then repeat for other tables.
