What customers see when they order from their phone
It helps to know what your customers go through. Here is the journey from scanning the code to getting their food, so you can explain it to staff and try it yourself.
Try it yourself first
Once ordering is on, open your order link on your own phone. It is shown on Settings, Order and Pay, and on the Orders page. Place a small test order so you know what customers see.
The customer journey
- At a table, the code fills in the table number. With the link or the venue code, they choose how they are ordering: Eat in, Collection or Delivery. Eat in asks for a table number such as 12 or Garden 2.
- They see your sections, can search the menu, and open an item to pick a size, choices and a note if you allow one. Allergens are shown. Items marked sold out are hidden.
- They can change quantities and type an offer code or gift voucher code. Offers that qualify come off by themselves.
- They give their name and mobile number, and an email if they want a receipt. For collection they choose as soon as possible or a time. For delivery they give their address. They can add a tip if you have that turned on, and confirm they are 18 or over for alcohol.
- They pay by card, PayPal, SumUp or Square, depending on what you connected. A gift voucher can cover all or part of it.
- A status page updates by itself: Sent, Making, Ready, then Served or Collected. For delivery it says On its way, then Delivered. They can order more from there.
Customers also get an Offers tab showing automatic offers, and a "Your orders" page listing what they ordered today on that phone. If you leave "Show a get our app card" ticked, they are invited to add your ordering page to their home screen.
An order that is not paid within 30 minutes is cancelled by itself, and nothing is sent to your kitchen until it is paid.

FAQ
Częste pytania
Do customers need to download an app?
No. It runs in the phone browser. They can add it to their home screen if they like.
What if a customer has no signal or no phone?
Take their order the old way. Ordering from the phone is an extra, not a replacement.
Can customers tip?
Yes, if you tick "Ask if they would like to add a tip" in your Order and Pay settings. They choose No tip, £1, £2 or 10%.
Can I do collection only?
Yes. Untick Eat in under How people order and tick Collection. Customers only see the options you have switched on.
